TEAM GUSTO FINAL DISPLAY SEASON

After a short but successful 2021 season, it was announced that the French Air & Space Force tactical demonstration team Gusto will be back in 2022 in what will be their last display season before the Mirage 2000C is retired from active service.

The team which consists of two Mirage 2000C multirole, single-engine, fourth-generation jet fighters from the Escadron de Chasse (EC) 2/5 ‘Ile de France’ fighter squadron at the Orange-Caritat Air Base will soon begin their training for the 2022 season. During their 12 minute display, both the aircraft and the pilots will be pushed to the limits pulling up to 9G's and flying as low as 150ft and as fast as 620 knots.

In June, the withdrawal of the Mirage 2000C from the French Air & Space Force will take place, 38 years after its entry into service. The Escadron de Chasse (EC) 2/5 ‘Ile de France’ fighter squadron is today the last user of the Mirage 2000C with the Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace (French Air & Space Force).
