NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW

Liepaja International Airport is set to host the brand new Baltic International Airshow on the 6th and 7th of August 2022.

The new airshow will offer more than 6 hours of air displays by the best military and civilian pilots from Latvia and across Europe. Although there have been no confirmations on the performers the organisers promise a wide variety of aircraft from fighter jets to helicopters and high-performance aerobatic aircraft. Many NATO Air Forces have been invited to take part in the Airshow including Europe’s best display teams such as the RAF Red Arrows, Italian Frecce Tricolori, Polish Team Orlik, Czech Alca Role demo, as well as the Czech Mi-24 solo display and the F-16’s from Turkey (SoloTurk) and Poland (F-16 Tiger Demo Team) just to name the few. The organisers have also sent the invitation to NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen the home of the mighty E-3A AWACS and a “secret” civilian performer who will light up the sky over Liepaja International Airport during the Latvian debut night display with pyrotechnics and lasers!

The organisers promise the “most impressive adventure for the whole family” featuring “Fighter planes, aerobatic teams, coloured smoke and pyrotechnics” and for the first time in Latvia “Spectators will have the opportunity to watch the preparation of aircraft and taxi to the runway with a 270-degree view around the apron! This means you'll be closer to aviation than ever!”

The Early bird tickets for the Baltic International Airshow 2022 are on sale now for only 8 Euros and can be purchased here. Soon the organisers will also release the “spotter packs” special tickets for aviation photographers as well as enclosure and very exclusive Apron Club tickets for those who want to enjoy the show with increased comfort.
