After a two-year hiatus, Slovakia’s biggest airshow is back. The Slovak International Air Fest (SIAF) returns on 5–6 September 2026, making its debut at Košice Airport. This year’s edition will honor the 35th anniversary of the iconic White Albatrosses aerobatic team, with top international participants and a program rich in aviation, innovation, and culture.

For the first time in its history, eastern Slovakia will host a major international airshow. On 6–7 September 2025, the Prešov Air Base, home of the Slovak Air Force’s helicopter wing, will stage the debut edition of SIAD 2025, a new open-air aviation festival with free entry for the public.

The SIAF International Airshow, a cherished event for aviation enthusiasts throughout Slovakia, will not take place this year, leaving fans disappointed and preparations eerily absent when they should be in full swing. The Ministry of Defense has stepped in to assume control of the airshow’s organization, aiming to eventually return it to its historic venue in Sliac. This decision follows a breakdown in cooperation with the Slovak Aviation Agency, which has overseen the event in recent years.
