Finnish Air Force F/A-18 Hornet Solo Display: 2025 Display Season

The Finnish Air Force F/A-18 Hornet Solo Display team is set to thrill spectators in 2025. Following a non-fatal crash during a rehearsal on May 7, Captain Petteri Kairinen from Karelia Air Command has been appointed as the main F/A-18 Display Pilot for the 2025 season, taking over from Captain Paulus “Hassel” Kärnä from Lapland Air Command. He will utilize his 2024 display routine. Captain Ville Tuomainen remains the deputy demonstration pilot. Captain Kairinen will demonstrate the amazing agility of the F/A-18C Hornet—at six events across three countries: Finland, the UK, and Poland.
