F-86 Sabre

Mistral Warbirds, passionate about fighter warbirds since 2008, operates the only airworthy F-86 Sabre Mk6 in Europe. This iconic jet, famous for its dominance in the Korean War, was built for the Luftwaffe and later served in the USA. Piloted by Frédéric Akary, a veteran with over 17,000 flight hours, the Sabre is maintained in Avignon, France. In 2025, this rare piece of aviation history—one of only 12 airworthy worldwide—will perform at 9 events across France, the UK, and Belgium, including displays at Duxford and Sanicole.
