F/A-18C Hornet Solo Display 2026

For the 2026 display season, Captain Ville Tuomainen of 31 Squadron, Karelia Air Command, takes on the role of principal solo display pilot for the Finnish Air Force F/A-18C Hornet. Serving as reserve pilot is Captain Joni Kouva from Lapland Air Command.

A highly experienced instructor with over 1,000 flight hours on the Hornet, Tuomainen is set to deliver the powerful and dynamic solo performances that have made the Finnish Hornet display one of the most exciting fast-jet acts in Europe. The team will appear at selected airshows and public events across Finland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Greece.
