Identity and scope
Who we are
This privacy notice applies to European Airshows (“European Airshows”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and the website at europeanairshows.co.uk, including pages that link to this notice.
For UK data-protection purposes, European Airshows is the controller of the personal information described here. That means we decide why and how that information is used. Our service providers may act as processors when they handle information on our instructions.
You can contact us at europeanairshowsofficial@gmail.com, through our contact page, or by using the privacy-request form linked on this page.
Data categories
Information we collect
Information you choose to give us
- Contact details and correspondence: your name, email address and the contents of messages you send to us.
- Calendar submissions: event names, dates, locations, source links, correction details and any supporting information included in an event-update form.
- Purchase information: if you make a purchase, we may receive contact, order, delivery, transaction-status and limited payment-related information. Payment providers process full card or account credentials; we do not need to receive or store your complete card details.
- Privacy requests: information needed to understand, verify and respond to a request about your personal information.
Please do not send sensitive personal information. Our website forms are not designed to collect health information, government identifiers, financial credentials or other special-category data.
Information generated when you use the site
Squarespace and connected website services may automatically generate technical and usage information. Depending on your settings and consent choices, this can include an IP address, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, cookie identifiers, preference signals, diagnostic information and security logs.
We do not use this website to request precise GPS location. An external map provider may process location or device information if you choose to open a map link or use its services.
Information stored only on your device
The interactive airshow calendars can store saved events and display preferences in your browser’s local storage. Those preferences remain on that device and are not sent to European Airshows merely because you save an event or change the calendar view. You can remove them by clearing the relevant browser storage.

Processing locations
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where data-protection law requires it, transfers are made using a recognised safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or decision, approved contractual protections, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your information.
Storage periods
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution requirement. The criteria below guide that decision:
- Messages and form submissions are kept while we handle the request and for a reasonable follow-up period, or longer when needed to resolve a complaint or establish a record of what was agreed.
- Calendar update records may be kept while the submitted information remains relevant and for as long as reasonably needed to support verification and calendar accuracy.
- Transaction and accounting records are kept for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and consumer law.
- Technical, analytics and security information is kept according to the relevant platform settings and only as long as needed for measurement, reliability or security.
- Privacy-request and preference records may be kept as needed to honour your choice and demonstrate compliance.
- Calendar preferences stored locally remain in your browser until you clear them or the relevant feature removes them.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it or securely isolate it from further use until deletion is possible, such as when it remains in a protected backup.

How we keep information secure
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. These include using reputable service providers, encrypted website connections, access controls and measures intended to prevent unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.
No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and contact us promptly if you believe information connected with this site may have been compromised.
