German Air Force A400M confirmed as second Atlas display for Antidotum Airshow Leszno 2026
Antidotum Airshow Leszno has confirmed the participation of a German Air Force Airbus A400M Atlas for the 2026 event.
The announcement means the Polish show now has two Airbus A400M aircraft confirmed, following an earlier commitment from the French Air and Space Force A400M Tactical Display. Antidotum Airshow Leszno 2026 is scheduled to take place at Leszno Airfield on 19–20 June 2026.

Second A400M confirmed for the lineup
With the Luftwaffe aircraft now joining the participation list, Antidotum has secured a rare double appearance of Europe’s modern strategic airlifter.
Large military transport aircraft regularly feature on static displays at European airshows, but it is less common for multiple examples of the same modern heavy transport type to appear at a single event. The confirmation of both French and German A400M aircraft therefore adds significant scale to the developing Leszno lineup.
The Airbus A400M Atlas
The Airbus A400M Atlas is a four-engine military transport aircraft designed to bridge the gap between tactical airlifters and larger strategic transports.
Powered by four Europrop TP400-D6 turboprop engines, the aircraft is capable of carrying heavy equipment, vehicles and troops while also operating from shorter or less-prepared airfields than many aircraft of similar size. With a maximum payload of around 37 tonnes, the type can perform strategic airlift missions as well as tactical transport closer to operational areas.
A key aircraft in German Air Force service
In German service the A400M is operated by the Luftwaffe’s Lufttransportgeschwader 62 (Air Transport Wing 62) based at Wunstorf Air Base.
The aircraft plays a central role in German military logistics, supporting troop transport, equipment deployment, medical evacuation missions and humanitarian relief operations. The fleet has also taken on additional roles including air-to-air refuelling capability for other aircraft.
Because of this operational importance, the A400M has become one of the most visible aircraft in modern European military air transport operations.
A major transport presence at Leszno
With both French and German A400M aircraft currently announced, Antidotum Airshow Leszno 2026 is shaping up to feature a notable heavy airlift presence.
The addition of the German Atlas strengthens the military component of the show and gives visitors the opportunity to see one of Europe’s most important modern transport aircraft up close when the event returns to Leszno Airfield next June.
